  • As Lead Consultant for Functional Safety at NewTec, Achim Brunner is responsible for consulting and technical management of safety-related development projects—from requirements analysis to standards-compliant implementation, including compliance with IEC 61508, ISO 26262, and EN ISO 13849. His more than 20 years of experience span a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, mechanical engineering, automotive, and avionics. He is a TÜV SÜD-certified Functional Safety Engineer and a TÜV Rheinland-certified Cybersecurity Specialist. He earned his degree in electrical engineering (Dipl. Ing. (FH), with a focus on communications and information technology) from the University of Applied Sciences in Konstanz. In addition to his project work, he is responsible for NewTec’s platform solutions and shares his expertise in customer workshops and training sessions.

  • As Lead Consultant for Functional Safety at NewTec, Andreas Bufe is responsible for consulting and technical management of safety-related development projects—from requirements analysis to standards-compliant implementation, including compliance with IEC 61508, ISO 26262, and EN ISO 13849. His experience spans a range of industries, including manufacturing, mechanical engineering, medical technology, and avionics. He is a TÜV SÜD-certified Functional Safety Professional, a TÜV Rheinland-certified Cybersecurity Specialist, and an IREB Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering (CPRE). He earned his Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Information Technology, with a focus on sensor technology and embedded systems, from Mannheim University of Applied Sciences. In addition to his project work, he oversees internal development processes and shares his expertise in customer workshops and training sessions.

  • Lorena Bergander is a certified FS Engineer (TÜV Rheinland, #20701/20 – HW/SW) and brings many years of practical experience in the field of functional safety and safety engineering, particularly in the development of safety-related systems in accordance with IEC 61508, ISO 13849, and ISO 26262. Through her involvement in various development projects, she understands the challenges of functional safety not only from the perspective of the standards but, above all, from the perspective of practical implementation. As a result, in her role as a training instructor, she can draw on cross-industry expertise, illustrating concepts with clear examples and concrete real-world experiences. This makes even complex safety topics tangible and directly applicable to day-to-day work. In addition to her project work, she is responsible for internal development processes and shares her expertise in customer-specific workshops and through project-related consulting.
