NewTec GmbH, a specialist in safety-relevant electronic systems, has been honoured by Bavarian Minister of Economic Affairs Hubert Aiwanger for its growth in turnover and workforce and for its innovative strength. Aiwanger presented the "Bavarian Growth Lions" awards at a gala ceremony at Schleißheim Palace on 23 July.
"We are delighted to be among Bavaria's Best 50," says Dr Achim Wohnhaas, Managing Director of NewTec, after receiving the award from Minister Aiwanger. "This confirms our commitment to future-proof safety and security solutions. The award also underlines that we are on the right track with our sustainable growth strategy, which is based not least on the consistent development of expertise and a solid expansion of our workforce. And we are proud to represent the Neu-Ulm region and the administrative district of Swabia as award winners."
According to the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy, the "Bavarian Growth Lion" is intended above all to recognise the commitment of small and medium-sized enterprises and to encourage people to start businesses in Bavaria. This year's award winners were selected according to objective criteria by the auditing firm Baker Tilly GmbH & Co. KG from among 9,000 applicants from all of Bavaria's administrative districts and numerous industries. The key selection criteria were economic stability and future viability, which Baker Tilly assessed on the basis of the companies' key financial figures over the past five years.
