Pfaffenhofen an der Roth, 4 March 2026. NewTec GmbH, a specialist in safety-related electronic systems, will present a new gateway platform for cyber-secure communication between controllers, machines, sensors and the cloud at Embedded World from 10 to 12 March. Thanks to its modular design, NTSecureGateway MCP enables a wide variety of requirements to be implemented cost-effectively. Optional high-performance CPU/GPU modules provide substantial computing power for complex edge computing applications.
With NTSecureGateway MCP (Modular Compute Platform), the safety and security specialist is showcasing a modular, high-performance IoT gateway platform in Nuremberg. Integrated security features make it possible to meet demanding cybersecurity requirements. High-performance CPU/GPU modules with up to 8 GB of RAM turn NTSecureGateway MCP into an edge computing platform that is also suitable for processing large volumes of data, such as sensor data. Local pre-processing, filtering and analysis functions help to conserve resources, reduce latency and shorten response times. The platform also supports machine learning-based applications (e.g. image processing, predictive maintenance).
Thanks to its modular design, NTSecureGateway MCP is particularly well suited to customer-specific developments and small-series production. Various SOM (system-on-module) components allow the system to be tailored precisely to individual requirements. For example, an optional safety co-processor enables functionally safe solutions up to SIL 2/ASIL B. In addition to standard interfaces and Ethernet ports, expansion modules for LoRa, Ultra Wide Band (UWB) and 5G/LTE, LTE NB-IoT are available for communication; a Single Pair Ethernet interface is planned. An extensive Linux-based software toolkit with pre-developed partial solutions also accelerates the development of cybersecurity-compliant applications.
Visitors to the trade fair can also find out about NewTec's safety solutions and cybersecurity services for embedded systems. The range of services extends from support in optimising legally and normatively compliant safety and development processes, through consultancy and solutions for the legally compliant development of cyber-secure products, to managed services for cyber-secure operation (e.g. vulnerability monitoring, Product Incident Response Team and PKI management).
