Developing functionally safe systems

Trainings & Workshops

With the development of more and more complex machines, the demand arises for more complex controls and with it, also more complex safety functions. The design decisions made here have far-reaching consequences for the development efforts and the development process. In this seminar, the concepts to be used for functional safety on the basis of the machine directive will be shown in that standard EN 13849-1 and -2 is clarified and its use is taught. Here, EN IEC 61508-3 is also touched upon insofar as it is used for software.

Contents:

  • Machine Directive and its implementation
  • Foundation for functional safety
  • Scope of application for EN ISO 13849
  • Categories of the designated architectures
  • Consideration of the effort
  • Validation

Customer Benefits:
The seminar will introduce you to the common terminology of the standard and will show interdependencies with other standards. You can classify your product development and have the tools to realistically evaluate the effort. In addition, you will get familiar with the subject to an extent that you can exchange views with experts and other reference persons.

Target Group:
Decision makers in development departments, project managers in the area of functional safety, software and hardware architects and designers, quality managers and process representatives
